Refund Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Every new subscription comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. You can cancel any time from the dashboard, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Questions? Email billing@codeskop.com.

1. 14-day money-back guarantee

If Codeskop isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your organization's first payment for a paid plan and we'll refund that payment in full, whether you chose monthly or yearly billing. No questions asked.

The guarantee applies once per organization, to its first paid subscription. When we refund under the guarantee, the subscription is cancelled and the organization moves to the Free plan straight away.

2. Renewals, upgrades and usage

Renewals. Renewal payments aren't refundable, except as described in this policy or required by law. If a yearly plan renewed and you didn't mean it to, contact us within 14 days of the renewal and we'll look at it with you; where the Service hasn't been used since the renewal, we'll normally refund it.

Plan changes. When you upgrade, you pay only the difference for the rest of the current period. When you downgrade, the unused part of what you've paid is credited against your future bills rather than paid back.

Usage above your quota. Charges for events above your plan's monthly quota reflect usage that has already happened and aren't refundable, unless they result from a fault on our side (see below). You can see extra events and the running charge in the dashboard during the month, and capture pauses at three times your quota to protect you from runaway usage.

Partial periods. Apart from the guarantee above, we don't refund unused time when you cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

3. Mistakes and service problems

We always refund duplicate charges, charges made after a cancellation took effect, and amounts billed incorrectly because of an error on our side, such as events counted that shouldn't have been.

If a significant outage or a fault in the Service meant you couldn't use a paid feature, contact us and we'll offer a credit or a refund in proportion to the impact.

If we remove a material paid feature without a replacement, you can cancel and receive a pro rata refund of prepaid fees for the rest of the period.

4. How to cancel

The organization's owner can cancel any time in the dashboard under Billing, by choosing Cancel subscription. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period and isn't renewed; you can resume it before then. Cancelling doesn't by itself trigger a refund, so ask for one if the guarantee applies.

5. How to request a refund

Email billing@codeskop.com from the account owner's email address with your organization name and the invoice number (shown in the dashboard under Billing and on your receipt). You can also reply to the receipt email from Paddle or use the "manage subscription" link on it, at paddle.net.

We reply within 2 business days. Our payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, so approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method, including any tax charged. They usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. It's almost always faster for us to sort it out directly.

6. Your legal rights

This policy doesn't limit any rights you have under consumer protection law where you live, including any statutory right to cancel within a set period. Purchases are also covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms. If this policy and the law differ, you get whichever gives you more.

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. We may update it; changes don't affect payments made before the update.
