Security & control
Your data stays yours
Codeskop captures what you need to find and fix a failure and redacts the rest on the device, before anything is queued or sent. Remote config lets you tune or stop capture without shipping a release.
- Encrypted in transit (TLS) to the ingest API
- Public ingest keys can only write events, never read data
- No request or response bodies captured by default
- Authorization and cookie headers never captured
- Identify users by a stable, opaque ID; no email required
Remote config
Change what the SDK captures, without a release
Switch capture, network monitoring and ANR detection on or off, and set sampling and offline queue limits, per project from the dashboard. Devices pick up the change on their next launch.
Plan: Every plan (limits follow your plan)
- Capture
- Network monitoring
- ANR detection
- Product analytics
What you get
A kill-switch
Pause all capture for a project from the server. The SDK keeps running, sends nothing, and your app works normally.
Feature toggles
Turn network monitoring, ANR detection and product analytics on or off, where your plan includes them.
Request timing sampling
Choose the share of successful network calls that are timed. Failed calls are always kept.
Offline queue size
Set how much the SDK stores on the device while offline. Crashes and errors are protected when it fills up.
Per-environment overrides
Keep every request timing in Test while sampling in Production. Everything you don't override follows the project.
Can only reduce data
Settings switch things off or lower them, never above your plan's limits, so a change can't widen what's collected.
How it works
- 1
Open SDK settings
In the dashboard, go to Settings → SDK settings and pick the project.
- 2
Choose where it applies
Change all environments, or override just one, such as Test.
- 3
Save
Devices pick up the change the next time the app starts or a page loads; browsers may reuse settings for up to 5 minutes.

Questions about remote config
Is remote config a feature-flag tool?
No. It controls what the Codeskop SDK captures and sends, not your app's own features.
How quickly do changes reach devices?
Apps pick them up the next time they start, and web pages on the next load. Browsers may reuse the previous settings for up to 5 minutes.
Is remote config available on the Free plan?
Yes. Every plan can use it. Switches your plan doesn't include are locked, and sliders stop at your plan's limits.
Can a setting collect more data than my plan allows?
No. Settings can only switch things off or lower them, and if you change plans, saved settings above the new limits are capped automatically.
