Release Notes

What changed in each SDK release. Android, the OkHttp adapter and Flutter share one version number; the web packages are versioned separately.

Android & Flutter

0.3.0

com.codeskop.sdk:tracker-android:0.3.0October 2026

  • Product analytics (Growth and Scale): Codeskop.track and Codeskop.screen, and identify traits sent for user profiles and segments. Activities are recorded as screens automatically (captureScreens). See Track events & screens.
  • Flutter: Codeskop.track, Codeskop.screen and CodeskopNavigatorObserver for named routes.
  • Sessions now end after 30 minutes without activity, instead of lasting the whole process.
  • The no-op artifact gains track and screen.

0.2.0

com.codeskop.sdk:tracker-android:0.2.0September 29, 2026

  • Fix: crashes during startup are no longer lost. The crash handler used to be installed only after the SDK finished fetching its remote settings, so a crash while that request was in flight (on a slow or offline network) wasn't recorded. It's now installed before any network call.
  • New: OkHttpClient.Builder.codeskop() in tracker-okhttp. One call turns on network capture (failed requests and timings). See Network capture.
  • New: captureExceptionMessages (off by default). Opt in to sending exception messages instead of [REDACTED], from code or with the codeskop.capture_exception_messages manifest key. See Configuration.
  • Events now report the SDK version as 0.2.0 (0.1.0 reported 0.1.0-SNAPSHOT).
  • Upgrading: bump every Codeskop artifact to 0.2.0 together and rebuild. CodeskopConfig gained a parameter, which is source-compatible. Flutter: codeskop_tracker 0.2.0 depends on the same native release.

0.1.0

com.codeskop.sdk:tracker-android:0.1.0July 16, 2026

Initial public release.

  • Android SDK (tracker-android): crash, native crash and ANR capture; handled exceptions; a durable on-device queue; compressed batch upload through WorkManager; remote config with a kill-switch; foreground presence heartbeats.
  • OkHttp adapter (tracker-okhttp): failed-request and timing capture for OkHttp and Retrofit.
  • Flutter plugin (codeskop_tracker 0.1.0 on pub.dev): Dart error hooks (FlutterError.onError, PlatformDispatcher.onError, runZonedGuarded) bridged to the native SDK.
  • Published to Maven Central and pub.dev.

Known limitations:

  • Some CodeskopConfig options are accepted but have no effect yet (details).
  • ANR reports don't yet include a main-thread stack trace, and the attributes argument of recordException isn't yet sent.
  • The Flutter plugin doesn't include an HTTP interceptor. Report failures with Codeskop.captureApiError (example).

Web

1.3.0

@codeskop/tracker@1.3.0October 2026

  • Product analytics (Growth and Scale): track and screen (also from useCodeskop()), and identify traits sent for user profiles and segments.
  • Page views are recorded automatically, including client-side navigation, path only (capturePageViews).
  • Sessions continue across page loads in a tab and end after 30 minutes without activity.

1.2.0

@codeskop/tracker@1.2.0October 1, 2026

  • The SDK applies your project's request timing sample rate and offline queue size from SDK settings, so every setting in the dashboard now works on the web too.
  • sampleRates in init() is now applied until the project's settings are fetched. Errors and failed requests are always kept.

1.1.0

@codeskop/tracker@1.1.0September 30, 2026

  • @codeskop/tracker-react ships a "use client" directive: use CodeskopProvider and CodeskopErrorBoundary straight from a Next.js App Router layout. Example.
  • CodeskopProvider starts the SDK during its first render, so an identify() in a child's first effect is no longer dropped.
  • Network capture follows your plan: on plans without network monitoring, no request events are sent.
  • release is also sent as the app version, so it shows on the Users tab, on issues and in release health. Use your package.json version.
